首回應被拒入境香港 馬凱:將重讀《1984》

《金融時報》亞洲新聞編輯、香港外國記者會(FCC)第一副主席馬凱(Victor Mallet)前天(11月8日)以遊客身份來港時,被入境處查問數小時後遭拒絕入境香港。他昨晚在 facebook 發帖,貼出自己的香港政府總部採訪證和八達通相片(上圖),表示未來日子不再需要這些東西,而原定來港與同事會面、出席國際文學節、與香港朋友道別、再訪全亞洲最好的新聞界俱樂部 FCC 等,在未來一段日子都不能做到。他最後指自己將會遷居歐洲,也會重讀英國作家 George Orwell 的名著《1984》,他引述書中極權政府的口號:「戰爭就是和平,自由就是奴役,無知就是力量(WAR IS PEACE / FREEDOM IS SLAVERY / IGNORANCE IS STRENGTH)」,似諷刺中國和香港政府。
