Society is broken

Here's my position on the two old men, as it seems the media has really been able to take what was happening out of context. Firstly, I was there.

So, the HK police have created an atmosphere where old men can violently assault, verbally abuse and in some cases molest protesters and get away with it. (On Sunday, there was also a groping case, police wouldn't even come to attend or even make inquiries, this is very common now.)

In a normal functioning society, with a fair police force, old men would not attack a crowd of young people. Police would discourage the old men at the very least, but definitely arrest them if they engaged in violet behaviour.

This doesn't happen in Hong Kong, the police openly sanction abusive and violent behaviour from these old uncles. With regards to this, those old uncles think they can lay into a crowd with impunity. Often this is the case and the uncles are jeered at or pushed away.

In the case of the man with the bald head. He began to aggressively assault the crowd. But this time the crowd was not in the mood and someone gave him a huge right hook onto the side of the head. This stopped him dead in his tracks. Someone then kicked him from behind. At this point, the guy realised that this crowd was in no mood to suffer the usual abuse they receive from this type of Blue Ribbon. So, he did the smart thing and sat down. The crowd then lost interest.

Likewise, the old man pushing his cart, it was the old man that first started hurling abuse at the crowd. These crowds regularly open up to let wheelchairs and push chairs through. The old man instigated the abuse towards the crowd. Someone then gave his trolley a kick. He then escalated the violence and the video you see is off him wielding a stick and the crowd trying to take it off him. In the melee he's is pulled over and the cart topples. Now that old man could have passed through the crowd easily. It was his abuse that escalated the fight.

And most interestingly, what seems completely missing from the media is that right after this incident three violent thugs ploughed into the crowd threatening to fight anyone who would challenge them. They were hyper aggressive. These three thugs were then patted away by the police and the police then smashed into the crowd and made three random arrests. I implored the senior police man on site to arrest the guys who had violently attacked the crowd, he had absolutely no interest in detaining them and a blue shirted copper threatened to arrest me instead.

The media lies, the police collude with thugs to make these protests look overly violent, that's the truth of it.
